2005 Banff, Alberta
When Harold asked what I wanted to do for my 50th birthday, I didn't skip a beat, "I want to be skiing in Banff". As a Canadian, I love being on Canadian soil for my birthday. The town of Banff is located just west of Calgary, Alberta. The town and ski area are inside Banff National Park, thus surrounded with natural unspoiled beauty. An assortment of Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Scottish and Wales workers run the ski lifts, restaurants and shops. That's one of the reasons we love this area, these helpful, polite, bright, enthusiastic young people are a pleasure to be around. Mid-April is between tourist seasons, so the slopes are uncrowded and there are no lift lines. The weather is warm and sunny. And the snow is still good. Oh, yes, this is heaven on earth.
2004 Keystone, Colorado
For Christmas this year we used our Disney Vacation Points and went skiing at River Run Village in Keystone, Colorado.
