Riding from Cromwell to Haast

Switching to riding on the left side of the road was not difficult. We actually had more trouble in Queenstown with the walking. You quickly learn to look both ways, twice. (After almost getting run over). We have a very close call with the Harley almost as soon as we left Alex's place. All of a sudden Harold realizes that he is about to have a head on collision with a car crossing a bridge. We saw no warning. Harold literally got the Harley stopped within feet of getting creamed by that car, and he managed not to dump it. At the next bridge we look for signs, and now that we know what to look for, they are clearly marked and understandable. So we have no more problems with the many one lane bridges after that.
